For as long as she can remember, celebrity hairstylist and New York City native Marshay Nicole has always possessed a passion for beauty. With two generations of stylists preceding her, Marshay grasped the importance of hair care at a very early age from the teachings of her paternal grandmother, Norma. It would be these lessons that molded her into the hair care specialist and dedicated cosmetologist she is today.
After 7 years of working in the corporate world, Marshay decided it was time to pursue her true love -- HAIR. Quitting her "9-5" and enrolling in cosmetology school was just the start of a dream job come true. Noticing the lack of hair care and massive diversity in the industry, she decided to focus on, not only styling, but in healthy hair care & maintenance. During her 2 year tenure, Marshay exceeded her own expectations, winning numerous competitions, awards and achievements.
Shortly after obtaining her cosmetology license, Marshay began taking the beauty industry by storm. Being mentored and interning with celebrity stylists such as Terrance Davidson, Native Elianor and G Star, Marshay caught the eyes of fashion designers, artists, and celebrities.
Marshay's resume includes most recently working for VH1’s Love & Hip Hop New York, The 2017 NAACP Awards, The 2017 & 2018 Oscars, and Black Men's Magazine. It also includes an extensive list of New York Fashion Week Shows & editorial works. With a client base of over 350 women, men, and children of various hair types, Marshay's devotion for hair care and beauty transcends to the likes of the everyday woman to glamorous cover girls.
In hopes of pursuing a new city and a change of scenery, Marshay left NYC and headed for a new place to call home, Los Angeles, California.
Brooklyn molded and raised Marshay to be the bold, creative, go-getter the beauty industry needs. California gained an ingenious gem.
